Mintpath Educational Pathways has announced an expansion of its scholarship program to additional universities throughout Poland. The initiative now reaches institutions in Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw, Poznan and Gdansk, increasing total awards from 250 to 600 annually. Funding supports undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in education, environmental sciences and digital technologies.
Eligibility Criteria and Application Process
Applicants must maintain a minimum grade average of 4.0 and demonstrate financial need through documented household income below the national median. Priority is given to residents of rural areas and first-generation university attendees. The online application portal opens each March with decisions issued by June. Selection committees at each partner university review submissions alongside Mintpath staff to ensure consistent standards. Award amounts range from 8,000 to 15,000 PLN per academic year, renewable for up to five years based on continued academic performance.
Partner universities receive administrative support and curriculum alignment resources from Mintpath to integrate scholarship recipients into existing support services. Data from the first two years of the original program showed a 92 percent retention rate among recipients, compared with 78 percent for non-recipients in similar fields.
Expected Outcomes for Students and Institutions
University administrators report that the added funding helps attract higher-achieving candidates who might otherwise study abroad or delay enrollment. Mintpath projects the expanded program will contribute to a 15 percent rise in graduates entering teaching and sustainability roles within Poland over the next five years. Monitoring includes annual surveys tracking employment outcomes six months after graduation.
Coordination meetings between Mintpath and university leadership occur quarterly to adjust eligibility guidelines according to enrollment trends and labor-market demands. The organization has allocated an additional 4.2 million PLN to cover the increased number of awards and associated administrative costs through 2027.
